Executive head phones

The Beats headphones have long been synomous with a young urban crowd.  While this has paid off in dividends to its founders, its left the older, business class crowd out in the cold.  Don’t get us wrong.  We’re not trying to stomp on their parade.  We applaud Dr. Dre and Jimmy Levine for building a brand that has pretty much set the bar in terms of design when it comes to headphones and earbuds.  However, we just don’t see an executive whiping out a pair of bright red Beats headphones while adorning a suit and a brief case. But that is all about to change with the introduction of the Beats Executives.

Beats has done away with the plasticky facade and replaced it with a sleek brushed metal finish.  These headphones are wrapped in what we can only assume is supple leather.  And while we don’t know the size of the drivers or what other tech lays under the hood, we can tell you that there is active noise cancellation and an audio performance that is said to deliver “pure, crisp audio integrity with soaring highs, deep bass, and true mids.”

As it happens we’ll be at a Chrysler and Beats event tonight, where we might just get a hands on with the Beats Executive.
