The VAIO VPC-F226 16.4" Notebook Computer from Sony is a large-screen notebook computer, built with performance in mind. The computer is powered by a quad-core 2.40GHz Intel Core i7-2760QM CPU, which can be overclocked to 3.50GHz via the Intel Turbo Boost system. Graphics are provided by a dedicated nVIDIA GeForce GT 540M with 1GB of memory.
The computer's 1080p display is 16.4" in size and features an energy-efficient LED backlight. The computer's Blu-ray drive is capable of playing high-def discs The drive can also read and write DVDs and CDs.
The computer is loaded with 8GB of RAM, a 640GB 7200rpm hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, an integrated webcam and microphone, USB 3.0, and a memory card reader. Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
